Hi and Welcome to Carteret County Flying Club,

We hope you enjoy our online Flight Simulator. FSHost is the engine for the simulator, and if you Fly Microsoft's FSX you will need to download the FSHost Client for FSX. FS 2004 and FS 2002 do not need the client. The host server is on IP fsim.game-host.org port 23456. Also, we use TeamSpeak to communicate, so everyone can get the full enjoyment out of the game. The TeamSpeak server is on Address: fsim.game-host.org.

Pilots are encouraged to participate in the hop list. The hop list is posted on the Flight Sim server. We change the list every couple of weeks.

We use TeamSpeak for communications. TeamSpeak allows pilots from different Simulators to speak together. You can download teamspeak client here.

New, download Asteriods Next Generation, from the software developers at Liquid Air Aviation. A.N.G. is ad and spyware free, no strings attached, free software for everyone (except where prohibited by law). Microsoft's .NET 2 or better is needed to run the game.

We have rewritten our download page. We have developed a new search engine to make it easier to find the aircraft or FS files you are looking for. However, it will take time to put all the files back into the download section.

Tip of the Moment

This tip is for the protection of your computer. Most Windows users have “Administrator” access when they use their computer. It is much better to use an account that has “Users” or even “Guest” access. When you use your browser, the websites you visit have the same access level as you. This means that if a webpage has a malicious script and you’re logged in with an administrator account, the script also has admin rights and permissions. In conclusion, if you can make a change to your system so can the internet.

Rocky Mountain Climber

Updated 12/7/2008

This aircraft was made for sightseeing. Easy to fly, with working and revised gauges, and great visibility. Version 2.0 has updated avionics, landing and nvigation lights. Updated Dec 7, 2008.

Try it and let us know what you think, contact info is in the download file.

HG-01

A new aircraft was added March 30, 2008: Finally our HG-01 project is ready for beta release. It is a light weight twin engine, single person sport plane. Try it and let us know what you think, contact info is in the download file.

A new aircraft was added March 12, 2008: We had a request for something with afterburners, so we hope the F-14 Tomcat will do for now. The F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, variable sweep wing, two-person fighter, signed to attack and destroy enemy aircraft at night and in all weather conditions. The F-14 can track up to 24 targets simultaneously with its advanced weapons control system and can attack with six Phoenix AIM-54A missiles while continuing to scan the airspace. Armament also includes a mix of other air intercept missiles, rockets and bombs.

New aircraft were added Feb 8 2008: Two new aircraft were added. The Douglas DC-3 and the LOCKHEED L-049A CONSTELLATION.

Jan 28, 2008: Five aircraft have been add to the download section.

Dec 31, 2007: Rocky Mountain Climber has some new improvements; the virtual cockpit has been updated. Also, the textures have been improved and the aircraft.cfg file is more accurate. Over the last couple of months we have posted a few new aircraft for download.

New downloads were added Oct 12. We have included an F16 Panel and a Mig15. We have a Mig15 under development and will post it in the Beta section when it gets closer to deployment. Also, the Rocky Mountain Climber has been updated, the scale was corrected, and it is no longer the size of a Boeing 737.

New aircraft were added Saturday (Oct 6). Among them is the Boeing Pelican, some acrobatic planes and ultra lights. We have also included a fix for the Boeing 747 Crown Royal Repaint.

Other Stuff

Millions of individuals making their own decisions in the marketplace will always allocate resources better than any centralized government planning process. -- Ronald Reagan

Why use FSHost

One big advantage to FSHost over Gamespy is you fly in freeflight mode. This means you have ATC services at airports that have no live human manning them. The connection is reliable and more likely to be available. This means you can plan to meet your friends at a later time and be confident that the server will be there.  You will not lose connection for going to lunch.  You can set your own game time and weather or use the server settings. FSHost also lets you fly with FS2002, FS 2004, FSX, FSX SP1, FSX SP2 and FSX Acceleration. Gamespy only works when all versions match.
